Leaves aren't the only color this season

Alternate Title: Drop everything & Go Vote!!

I noticed on a walk not long ago that with the beautiful colors of the changing leaves there was also another color that only comes out this time of year.

The political signs.

Now I can't say that I am a fan of all the cards I get in the mail or shoved into my door.

I would much rather not get eleventy billion phone calls recommending this issue or that person. (okay that number might be a stretch but not by much) in fact if I ran for something I would totally call people with the automated systems for the 'other' guy so that they would totally get annoyed and vote for me

But each year, no matter how annoyed I am at all the campaigning, in the end....I VOTE! I make sure my husband gets up early enough before work so he can vote as well. I remind friends & family to do their civic duty and get to their local polling stations to vote. It happens ALL.DAY.LONG surely you can find a few minutes in your day to go and cast your thoughts. Plus as a bonus they give you a sticker and a free squirt of hand santizier....how cool is that?

Now, my post isn't going to be long and eloquent like my friend, Fire Mom's, is. If you have a few minutes you really should read it.
